Badges

Badges can be earned for a range of different achievements on WooBoard. When you earn a badge it will appear in your feed on the Home page. Please note that all badges are private, so any badge earned by an individual will only be viewable by that particular individual in their own feed.

You will also notice that once you've earned a badge it will display in color in the sidebar (when viewed on desktop) or on the badge page (when viewed in the mobile app). 

If you earn a badge multiple times there will also be a small counter displayed.

*Note: for the Woos Received and Woos Sent badges, only the highest badge you have earned will appear in the left sidebar on the Home page. This is to avoid clogging up the screen with similar badge types.

How is the Woo of the Week (WOTW) calculated?

Each Woo receives a rating. The rating is calculated by attributing 1 point for each like and 3 points for each comment. For example, if a Woo receives 5 likes and 3 comments, it has a rating of 14. 

The Woo with the highest rating each week wins the WOTW. The WOTW period starts on Monday and finishes on Sunday, however the badge is not awarded until the following Friday. This allows time for any Woos sent late in the week to be liked and commented on them before the ratings are calculated.
